ESPNsCollege GameDay held its season premier on Saturday morning down in Sundance Square in Fort Worth, Texas. For the most part it was a seamless show: David Pollack crushed a box jump, Chris Fowler received a warm tribute and the picks segment went off without a hitch.
However, as can happen during a live broadcast, things didnt go perfectly. Take, for example, the show misspelling Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barretts name during a segment a boo-boo that didnt go unnoticed by Barretts teammate Cardale Jones.
Yeaaaaaahhhh, about that JD fella. Maybe Urban Meyerhas an extra quarterback in the stable that we didnt know about. Nah. Even the big fishin Bristol make mistakes. Pobodys nerfect, after all.
Meyer has yet to officially announce his starting quarterback for the season opener. The coach has stated that he will inform both Barrett and Jones on Saturday who will take the first snap from under center; however therest of the nation wont know until Mondays opener.
Ohio State begins itsmarch for a repeat in Blacksburg against Virginia Tech on Labor Day. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. ET; the game will be televised on ESPN. Presumably, the Worldwide Leader will have Barretts name straightened out by then.
