WACO -- If you want season tickets for Baylor football, you won"t be getting them from Baylor. Every ticketpackage, and there were 28,400has been sold out since June of this year.
The last three games of the season are also sold out. There are some reserved seats available for the first two home games and some berm tickets -- the grassy area behind the end zone --are available for the first three games. But if you are looking for anything you"ll have to go to an online source that resells tickets.
If you are a Baylor fan though, this probably won"t bother you. Faculty and students alike see a packed stadium as a crucial part of the teams success thus far. It is now ranked fourth in the country. Executive Associate Athletics Director For External Affairs Nick Joos said it"s a definite plus.
"We"ve got like the nation"s longest home field winning streak, so having a rocking McLane Stadium is vital to coach Briles and his team and our fans bring tremendous energy and tremendous passion to the stadium six times a year," Joos said.
Baylor is currently tied with Alabama for the longest home field winning streak at 16.
