Sia Pairs Her Over-Sized Blonde Wig With An Even Larger Hat But She's Still ...

We still see you there, Sia!

Even though she doesn't love being seen on camera, Sia still managed to make an appearance at the Marquee Day Club on Saturday in Las Vegas.

The Elastic Heart singer paired her now-signature blonde wig with an even bigger hat!

Seriously it's so huge that Pharrell is probably jealous!

[ Photos: Sia Sans Her Gigantic Wig! ]

Sia completed her look with a fitted, off white suit, grey t-shirt, and red suede heels.

We can't see her face, but we're really liking this outfit.

It's pretty much the perfect daytime red carpet look!

Sia, No Doubt to play May 16 benefit for LA's LGBT Center

Sia and No Doubt will be joined by comedian Sarah Silverman on May 16 at the Hollywood Palladium as the headliners for the 2015 An Evening With Women gala benefiting the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Australian singer-songwriter Sia and Southern California band No Doubt are each slated to play acoustic sets, and Silverman will perform her stand-up comedy for the event, which raises funds to provide services to underserved seniors, women and girls.

This is going to be a really cool show for us, members of No Doubt said in a joint statement, different than the big plugged-in shows weve done over the years. Itll be exciting to switch it up and play a select handful of songs and bring a scaled down, acoustic vibe to them. We applaud the tremendous work Los AngelesLGBT Center has done over the years in striving to create a community where all people are equal and treated with fairness and dignity.

Other participants and honorees will be announced in coming weeks, organizers say. Updates and additional information on the event is available at its official website.

An Evening With Women, begun in 2002, was reconfigured in 2009 by songwriter-recording artist Linda Perry, who once again will co-chair the program.

"Our goal is to raise $1 million dollars this year, which would mark the highest single event fundraiser in the centers history, producer and co-chair Brent Bolthouse told Pop & Hiss.

Previous performers have included Perry, Silverman, Christina Aguilera, Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Pink, Joan Jett, Ozzy Osbourne, Courtney Love, Kathy Griffin, Margaret Cho, 4Non Blondes and Milla Jovovich.

The annual beneift has raised more than $4.65 million for the center since 2002. The L.A. LGBT Center has assited members of the regions lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community since it opened in 1969.

NEW YORK (AP) Will Beyonc reign as queen of the Grammys, or will the pop diva be dethroned by newcomer Sam Smith?

The AP makes educated guesses at who will dominate music's biggest night Sunday, when Smith, Beyonc and Pharrell are the top contenders with six nominations apiece.

The Grammy Awards will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. EST. Here's how we think the night will go:

___

ALBUM OF THE YEAR: "Morning Phase," Beck; "Beyonc," Beyonc; "X," Ed Sheeran; "In the Lonely Hour," Sam Smith; "G I R L," Pharrell.

FEKADU: We all thought "Beyonc" was a shoo-in for this award because of its epic release and because Adele didn't drop an album. But then enters Adele's baby brother: soulful British crooner Sam Smith, singing his big ballad, sad love songs, releasing back-to-back radio hits and going platinum. Smith may share some of Beyonc's fans now, but come Sunday, the Beyhive will turn on him.

MOODY: As a card-carrying member of the Beyhive, I can assure you all the ire will be at the Recording Academy. Look, Sam Smith had a gorgeous album that tugged at our heartstrings and he is the real deal. But Beyonc not only had the best album of the year (said in Kanye voice), she turned the industry on its head and truly innovated with her surprise release and the visual album. That should count for a Grammy win. But the Grammys will likely be enamored by the blue-eyed soul and British aspect of Sam Smith, marveling that he does soul music so authentically and overlooking a queen who has mastered it, and pop music in general, for almost two decades. And that will be a travesty.

___

RECORD OF THE YEAR: "Fancy," Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX; "Chandelier," Sia; "Stay With Me (Darkchild Version)," Sam Smith; "Shake It Off," Taylor Swift; "All About That Bass," Meghan Trainor.

MOODY: "Fancy" and "All About That Bass" seem to be the obligatory "yes we're in touch with the Snapchat generation" nomination nice nod to the kids, but they won't win. It's between Taylor, Sia and Sam; Sia's song didn't resonate with as many people and Taylor's may be too catchy for her own good. Look for Sam to grab this category too: It's a smoldering performance too hot not to reward.

FEKADU: Normally I would say a song like "Bass," despite being one of the year's biggest hits, wouldn't win hit, mainly because it's from a new artist. But, at the same time, how could you imagine 2014 without the addictive track? And because Trainor is a skilled songwriter, followed the song up with another hit and No. 1 album, it's only fitting she walk away with the win.

___

SONG OF THE YEAR (songwriter's award): "All About That Bass," Meghan Trainor and Kevin Kadish; "Chandelier," Sia and Jesse Shatkin; "Shake It Off," Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback; "Stay With Me (Darkchild Version)," Sam Smith, James Napier and William Phillips; "Take Me to Church," Hozier.

FEKADU: Tay Tay and Trainor's songs seem too playful to win this award. Hozier's***t may be too new for voters, leaving Sia and Sam. Sia deserves this award, not only for "Chandelier," but for writing songs for female pop stars from Rihanna to Beyonc to Kylie Minogue. Good thing she's not into showing her face these days because Smith will take the win here.

MOODY: Hmmm ... I'm torn. I agree Sam Smith has a strong shot at winning could you look in those doleful eyes and say no? But since this is a songwriting award, methinks the Recording Academy will take this opportunity to reward Sia for not only "Chandelier," but her years of masterful songwriting for herself and others, including Beyonc's "Pretty Hurts."

___

BEST NEW ARTIST: Iggy Azalea; Bastille; Brandy Clark; Haim; Sam Smith.

MOODY: I mean, is this even a competition? Sam Smith.

FEKADU: Who dat? Who dat? Not I to the G-G-Y. Sam Smith will take this one.

___

POP SOLO PERFORMANCE: "All of Me (Live)," John Legend; "Chandelier," Sia; "Stay With Me (Darkchild Version)," Sam Smith; "Shake It Off," Taylor Swift; "Happy (Live)," Pharrell.

FEKADU: Pharrell's No.1 hit was released too early for eligibility and voters didn't care enough to nominate its live version for record of the year. There's no way he's losing this honor, though.

MOODY: I think that the academy will feel like they gave Pharrell all the love he needed last year; this year, the Grammy darling is Sam Smith, and he's got this on lock.

___

ROCK ALBUM: "Ryan Adams," Ryan Adams; "Morning Phase," Beck; "Turn Blue," The Black Keys; "Hypnotic Eye," Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers; "Songs of Innocence," U2.

MOODY: I'm guessing Grammy voters are iTunes users and perhaps didn't appreciate that free U2 gift of music either. But I also think they love all things Beck, and Beck who won't win in the mainstream category gets his trophy here.

FEKADU: I wanted to think Beck would win because he's nominated for album of the year, but I think the Grammys will reward Petty for an outstanding year, which included a No. 1 album on the pop charts.

___

R&B PERFORMANCE: "Drunk In Love," Beyonc featuring Jay Z; "New Flame" Chris Brown featuring Usher and Rick Ross; "It's Your World," Jennifer Hudson featuring R. Kelly; "Like This," Ledisi; "Good Kisser," Usher.

FEKADU: Yonce all on his mouth like liquor.

MOODY: Even with the cringe-worthy Anna Mae reference, Jayonce wins this.

___

RAP SONG: "Anaconda," Nicki Minaj; "Bound 2," Kanye West featuring Charlie Wilson; "i," Kendrick Lamar; "We Dem Boyz," Wiz Khalifa; "0 to 100 / The Catch Up," Drake.

MOODY: Kanye West's rants against the Grammys probably won't help him here, and voters probably won't want to reward the song best remembered for him simulating s*x with wifey Kim Kardashian on a motorcycle. Kendrick Lamar, on the other hand, has an uplifting song and Grammy voters probably remember how he got robbed last year when Macklemore inexplicably won over him. They'll make it up to him this year.

FEKADU: Kendrick Lamar is under the India.Arie effect: You lose all seven in your debut year, but you win two the following year. Poetic justice, indeed!

___

COUNTRY ALBUM: "Riser," Dierks Bentley; "The Outsiders," Eric Church; "12 Stories," Brandy Clark; "Platinum," Miranda Lambert; "The Way I'm Livin'," Lee Ann Womack.

FEKADU: Women have it tough in country music, so it's great to see the Recording Academy acknowledge three wonderful female voices in this category. Lambert, though, has dominated all of the country awards shows and there are plenty of them (too many, actually) and she will do the same at the Grammys. It is shame "Platinum" wasn't nominated for album of the year.

MOODY: Eh, things might not be ideal but women are coming on strong and giving the boys a run for their money, and Lambert is a great example. She likely will dominate here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Clark sneaks up and grabs it from her her trailblazing as one of the few out gay people in country may win her a few admirers, and perhaps even a trophy.

You Don't Have To "Get" Sia To Love Her On 'SNL'

No, America. Lady Gaga didn't get a haircut, Sia isn't copping Mother Monster's style, and the most exciting talent in pop music doesn't have to look at you in order to nail a stunning performance you can't look away from.

When it was announced that the notoriously stage-shy Sia would be heading to Saturday Night Live to begin the second half of the show's 40th season, question marks popped up all over the place: Was she going to perform with her back to the audience, as she's done in the past? Was she going to obscure her face, as she did in the promo videos for the episode that ran last week? Would there be dancing and a performance from Maddie Ziegler, the Dance Moms star featured in Sia's now iconic videos for "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart"? Was she going to perform onstage at all?

Thankfully, more yeses abounded than nos.

Yes, Sia played SNL live and in the flesh. Yes, she obscured her face and avoided singing directly to the audience for "Elastic Heart," facing the wings with her eyes and nose covered by the fringe of a piece of black taffeta (or some other material that wouldn't look out of place on a tutu). Yes, Ziegler reprised the brutal and beautiful routine she performed with Shia LaBeouf in the video. And yes, Sia's onstage performance is one of the best, most thought-provoking two-song runs the show has ever seen.

With both "Elastic Heart" and "Chandelier," the grand, full electropop productions off 1000 Forms of Fear were simplified with a modest live arrangement that consisted of little more than bare bones done Sia's way. It may seem excessive, throwing interpretive dancers and a mime into the mix, but not for Sia: Her flawless band and voice were accompanied by performers who brought another dimension to her music.

Why let the face-fringe distract from the poetry of her singles and make no mistake, those lyrics are sheer poetry when she can take complete control of the situation and flesh out the performance on a multi-dimensional level? With Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande and the like, we expect backup dancers and don't bat an eye when that kind of entourage fills the stage at SNL, especially when it's tired and boring and winds up falling flat as fanfare that didn't pay off. The dancers and mime who joined Sia were hardly for the sake of a laugh, in that they acted out the revealing, raw truth of her words and forced the discomfort of the audience in order to tap into that specific nerve.

Yeah, you should be uncomfortable watching two dancers clad in n**e leotards sobbing and cradling each other after a brutal fight. The chorus of "Elastic Heart" is "I've got thick skin/But an elastic heart." If that isn't one of the realest sentiments someone can express when they're heartbroken and searching for a shred of resilience in the throes of a difficult time, I don't know what is but I do know that the dancers helped drive that point home for Sia instead of hurting it. (A bunch of bros on Twitter disagreed, but we'll get to that in a minute.)

The same went for "Chandelier," which rolls through the thoughts of a party girl spinning out of control. The jazzier, modest arrangement, complete with strings and a baby grand, put Sia's voice front and center on the SNL stage, and the mime portrayed the track's side-eyed melancholy to perfection.

Sia's delivery isn't for everyone, and it doesn't have to be that's the beauty of having an artist's record nestled comfortably in your iTunes library, where you can press play on "Elastic Heart" and acknowledge the universality of her lyrics without the added pressure of trying to figure out the avant-garde performance unfurling before you. If you open yourself up to how Sia wants these songs experienced, dancers, mimes, face-thing and all, it's worth the discomfort, and it's definitely worth those first few seconds that hang in the balance before you realize you're witnessing something great.

As for the peanut gallery? They got it, on the whole, but plenty of people were left scratching their heads.

Tweets about Sia's SNL performance are on the next page.
