The 73rd annual Golden Globes have finally arrived.
This years Golden Globes winners list is being announced liveinside the Beverly Hilton Hotel ballroom right now. Voted on by journalists in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the Golden Globe awards honor the best in film and television from the previous year.

In 2015, that meant movies such as Todd Haynes Carol and Adam McKays The Big Short. Those features paced, respectively, the drama and comedy categories at the Golden Globes, with Carol leading all films with five total nominations. Other nominees included Ridley Scotts The Martian (three), Alejandro Gonzalez Irritus The Revenant (three, including Leonardo DiCaprio for best actor in a drama), and Joy (two, including Jennifer Lawrence for best actress in a comedy)

On the television side, Outlander and Transparent were popular with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, scoring three nominations a piece.
This years Golden Globes ceremony is hosted by Ricky Gervais. The acerbic comic is making his fourth appearance as Globes host, and first since the 2012broadcast.
