Anne Hathaway showed off her baby bump for the first time on Sunday, sharing a photo of herself in a red bikini on the beach.
The actress explained on Instagram that she did so in order to take control of her image, rather than allow paparazzi to reveal the first look at her growing pregnancy belly.

"So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed," Hathaway captioned the photo. "I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should be an image that makes me happy (and one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :)"
Hathaway is expecting her first child with her husband Adam Shulman. The couple married in 2012, after four years of dating.
