Princess name revealed in the next 24 hours? If recent history is anything to go by, then most likely yes.
The new Royal Princess was presented to the eager waiting crowd only hours after being born at 8:34 a.m. on May 2. Now that everyone is satisfied that a healthy baby girl has arrived, the next question on everyones list is When we will have a princess name?
Prince George, now 22-months-old, had his name revealed the day after his birth, reported ITV, however Royal protocol states that William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, must privately tell Queen Elizabeth II the name before it can be publicly announced.
The Guardian has said that the Queen is currently staying at the Royal Sandringham estate in Norfolk and will therefore not meet the new Princess until William and Kate travel to the Sandringham estate. It has been revealed that William and Kate intend to stay in their London home for a day or two before journeying to Anmer Hall, their country residence in Norfolk.
Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, together with the Duchess of Cornwall, visited William and Kate at Kensington Palace shortly after 1 p.m. today, May 3. They joined Kates mother, Carol Middleton, and Kates younger sister, Pippa Middleton, who had arrived two hours previously. With the young royals such sticklers for protocol, it can only be assumed that they have not revealed the princess name to their visitors.
Royal fanatics the world over are hoping that Kate and the new Princess are healthy and recovering well, so that the family will be ready to travel to the Queens Sandringham estate as soon as possible. The sooner this happens, the sooner the world will know the princess name.
With a flurry of bets being made since the birth of the baby, bookies are now favoring Charlotte as the princess name of choice, Sky News reported. The potential princess name has overtaken the previous front-runner Alice, both at 3/1 odds. Olivia has also surged as a potential baby name, followed closely by Victoria and Elizabeth.
