Denver's annual Veterans Day parade marched through downtown Saturday under bright blue skies.
The parade started in front of the City and County Building and continued until noon, ending up passing the review stand on Broadway between 14th and Colfax avenues.
This year's parade focused on the nation's military history, with memorabilia from America's major military conflicts. The parade included veterans' groups, ROTC units, antique cars, military equipment and, of course, Shriner clowns and cars.
In addition to the parade, the city will host its first annual Veterans Day Festival in Civic Center park between noon and 6 p.m. Admission to the festival is free.
