Luke Bryans highly anticipated record Kill the Lightsis set for release on Friday (Aug. 7), but for those fans who just cant wait, the singer has released yet another song from the project, Huntin, Fishin and Lovin Every Day.
The song, which is the 12th tune on Kill the Lights, is an ode to Southern living and Bryan, who grew up on a peanut farm in small-town Georgia, certainly knows a lot about that subject. The upbeat, mid-tempo song praises the easy way of life as a small-town Southern boy.
If I could make a living walking in the woods / You can bet Id be sitting pretty good / High on a hill, looking at a field downwind, Bryan sings. If I could make a nickel off of turning em bass / Never worry about the price of gas / Id be wheelin and dealin and sitting there reelin em in.
From black coffee in the morning to dark whiskey in the evening, walking in the woods to hanging out knee-deep in Muckalee Creek, Bryan asks listeners to come along with me and enjoy that outdoor life.
Huntin, fishin and lovin every day / Thats the prayer that a country boy prays / Thank G*d He made me this way, Bryan sings.
Photos of Bryan fishing and enjoying the great outdoors, all while sporting his telltale grin, are interspersed throughout the lyric video a nod to the fact that the country superstar loves a life thats filled with well, huntin, fishin and lovin, every day. The clip also features panoramic views of water, sky, woods and more and the imagery, coupled with the lyrics, will have fans ready to run outside and breathe in the fresh country air.
Kill the Lightsfeatures 13 tracks and three Target exclusive tracks. In the weeks leading up to its release, Bryan has revealed several other songs, including thetitle track, and also released a brand-new app for fans.
