Laich, 32, and Hough, 27, a two-time champion on ABCs Dancing With the Stars, each tweeted a link to a photo of the couple with the same message Tuesday: We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiance #love
Hough became a judge on Dancing With the Stars after her victories.
Laich played for the Thunderbirds from 2001 to 2003 and scored 63 goals in 107 games. He has 132 goals in 683 games for the Capitals.
