Ronda Rousey says that she'd like to give Cat Zingano a rematch

Ronda Rousey defeated Cat Zingano in a record amount of time Saturday night in UFC 184, but that doesnt mean that the MMA superstaris ready to move on to the challenges. In fact, Rousey said after the fight that she would be happy to give Zingano a rematch.

Rousey (11-0) was able toput Zingano (9-1) in an armbar in just 14 seconds, making it the shortest UFC fight, involvingmen or women, on record.Saturdays result meant that the 16 seconds it took her to win her previous fight is now the third-shortest in UFC history.

After the fast finish, Rousey went over to Zingano, who was kneeling, stunned, on the canvas. Ronda was asked what she said to her previously undefeated opponent in that moment. Here is her account:

I said that we should do this again. I think she definitely deserves another shot.

You know, sometimes fights just go down like that. Im lucky to have a lot of experience in judo, and there were times I walked out and just got dumped on my head right away, and I just wasnt myself that day.

It didnt mean that I didnt deserve to be in that fight, or that I couldnt beat the other person. It was just, for some reason, I wasnt there. And I understand that feeling, and I know what Cat is capable of, and I would definitely like to see more of what she is capable of.

For her part, Zingano said, Some things in life you dont get on the first shot, some things take a few times.

Of course, the opponent many want to see Rousey take on next is Christiane Cyborg Justino, who herself scored a speedy victory Fridaynight, taking outCharmaine Tweet in just 46 seconds at Invicta FC 12. However, Justino fought at 145 pounds, and UFC president Dana White said that she would need to shed 10 pounds in order to take on Rousey.

Shes gotta make the weight, White said. [Rousey] will fight her in a minute, if [Cyborg] makes 135 pounds.

In the meantime, Rousey, who has expressed admiration for Zinganos efforts in overcoming hardship and personal loss, maysimply want to do Zingano a kind of favor by increasing her visibility and bankroll via a rematch. By contrast, Rousey has expressed disdain for Justino, saying in November,Cyborg, I was looking forward to fighting her, but if by injured you mean she took too many steroids and cant make weight, shes extremely injured right now and is unavailable.
