For those who are hoping to eat out on Christmas Day, there are a number of restaurants that will be open, including those listed below. I highly recommend that you call ahead to verify your specific location is actually open because some franchises will be closed. Also remember to verify the hours because many restaurants are only open for a small window of time on Christmas.

I confirmed that the following locations will be open on Christmas Day:

Banana Leaf Chinese Restaurant at 1026 Ryan Rd, Cary, NC (Open 11 am - 9:30 pm)

Boston Market at 4558-A Capital Blvd. in Raleigh

China Palace at 5210 Garrett Road, Durham (Open from 4 pm - 9 pm)

Crabtree Grill at 4500 Crabtree Dr.Raleigh, NC (in the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley, Raleigh) - Dinner buffet from 4 - 8 pm. Reservations recommended at 919-781-7000.

Dave & Busters at Cary Town Center Mall in Cary ( open Christmas Day from 5pm-midnight)

Denny's at 7021 N Carolina 751 #901 in Durham (open 24/7)

Denny's at 3215 Wake Forest Road in Raleigh

Fujisan Japanese Steakhouse at 8411 Brier Creek Parkway, Raleigh, NC 27617 in Brier Creek Commons, Raleigh. (Open 4:30 - 10 pm) Reservations recommended at 806-2888.

IHOP at 1301 Kildaire Farm Rd. in Cary ( It appears that all IHOP locations will be open according to the e-mail I received from IHOP, but call your location to verify the hours)

McCormick and Schmicks at 4325 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612 (Open Christmas Day, reservations recommended)

Paparazzi at 8450 Honeycutt Road, Raleigh, NC in Lafayette Village. (Open 10:30 am - 3 pm for brunch buffet)

You can also head to head to Offers.com for a list of restaurants that should be open. Some of the restaurants on the list include IHOP, Boston Market, Denny's, Waffle House, TGI Fridays and more. Be sure to call your specific location to verify if they are open before heading over for a snack.

I called a few specific locations of restaurant chains who are on the Offers.com list but they are not open here on Christmas Day. They include Starbucks on Tryon Rd in Cary, Panda Express in Apex and Boston Market in Cary.
