PlayStation Network Currently Experiencing Outages

PlayStation is investigating the issue. By Michael Martin

UPDATE June 13, 12:14 a.m. PDT:PlayStation Network services have been restored, according to the official status page, which states "all services are up and running."

UPDATE June 13, 12:09 a.m. PDT:PlayStation Network services appear to be coming back online for some users. The official status page still states "services are experiencing issues."

Sony"s PlayStation Network is currently offline, with users reporting issues with logging into the service.

"You may be experiencing issues related to signing in or creating an account on PlayStationNetwork," according to the network"s official status page. "We appreciate your patience while we address this."

The outage appears to be affecting account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Now, Video, Vue, and the PlayStation Store services, with the most recent update coming at 10:15 p.m. PDT on Friday, July 12.

The Ask PlayStation Twitter account has not responded with an update on the outage.

IGN will continue to monitor the outage and will update as the story develops.

Here"s what we know about T.J. Oshie after looking through his Twitter for 10 ...

Around 5 p.m. on Thursday, the Capitals announced that they had acquired Blues right winger T.J. Oshie in a trade. In return, the Caps sent Troy Brouwer,Pheonix Copley and a third-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft to St. Louis.

It"s reasonable to expect that over the next few days, Oshie will speak to the D.C. media, allowing both reporters and fans to get to know him a little better. But until that happens, how can we familiarize ourselves with the former Olympic hero?

By going through his Twitter account for about 10 minutes and then using the information we learn to form a really quick and incomplete first impression, of course.

After the news broke, we immediately invaded @OSH74"s page to find out what he"s all about. Here is what our investigation revealed:

1) Oshie roots for a football team that D.C. fans probably don"t want him to root for.

One may think that, since he spent the first seven seasons of his NHL career in St. Louis, Oshie would be a Rams fan. That doesn"t appear to be the case, however:

The 28-year-old is actually a Seahawks fan. Upon further research, we learned that Oshie is a native of the state of Washington, so his allegiance to Seattle makes sense. However, rooting for a team that has knocked the Redskins out of the playoffs the last three times Washington has made the postseason may be something Oshie has to keep on the "down-low" now that he"s moving to D.C.

2) Oshie"s young daughter is absolutely precious.

In the picture above, Oshie"s young daughter makes a cameo appearance, but the photo doesn"t do her cuteness justice...at all.

3) Oshie has his own breakfast cereal.

As if cheering for an incredibly successful football team and being the father of an incredibly cute daughter wasn"t enough, Oshie also has his own cereal:

Seriously? Does this guy live the coolest life ever? Go ahead, click on that link in the tweet, go to the website, and order your own box of OshieO"s. Maybe eating them will make your life cooler, too (even though they bear a striking resemblance to Cheerio"s that were just put in a box with a hockey player on it).

4) He"s more of a retweeter than a tweeter.

Our investigation revealed that Oshie prefers retweeting the thoughts of others than tweeting about his own. Of the last 30 messages on his page, 20 of them are retweets. His favorite types of tweets to retweet include ones about the University of North Dakota"s hockey team, who he played for in college, and tweets from his wife and friends that feature pictures of Lyla (duh).

That"s all we got from his Twitter, Caps fans. Excuse us as we start perusing the internet to see if we can find an old MySpace.

The Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp Trailer Is Star-Studded and ...

We"re officially counting down the days until we can go back to Camp Firewood.

As if we couldn"t be more excited for the July 31 premiere of Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Netflix has released a new trailer and artwork for the series just in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The eight-episode series will serve as a prequel to the 2001 cult classic movie, and features the return of original cast members, including Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Michael Ian Black, Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Meloni and Molly Shannon.

And they are nice kidnappers because after they shake the lady down for info they take her on a YACHT trip, which would have been fun except the hostage woman is corny and gets seasick which clearly BORES Rihanna for obvious reasons. Someone should have told that lady about SEA BANDS, Amirite?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Also, Rihanna wears black and white penny loafers with a clear tongue and lucite heels and they are the shoe equivalent of preppy French diamonds, just like the only things that should EVER grace Rihzuss precious feet! AHHHHH!

At first the hostage is acting weird but then when she ends up at a slumber party in a Motel 6 she is just SO happy to have a good time with these fun women! They do her hair and put on her lipstick and share with her their bong! Its repudiation of exclusionary white-womaning and also a repudiation of the television show Hannibal by using Dexter tactics to slaughter the guy who plays Hannibal and IT IS EV-E-R-Y-THINNGGG!!!

Mark Wahlberg, Ronda Rousey, And Iko Uwais To Star In Peter Berg"s Actioner ...

The bromance between Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg has been unfolding for a while now. The helmer has taken roles in the Wahlberg-produced HBO series "Entourage" and "Ballers," directed the actor in "Lone Survivor" and the currently shooting "Deepwater Horizon," and they"ve also got the blockbuster "Six Billion Dollar Man" brewing. And they"ve lined up yet another to collaborate on.

THR reports that Wahlberg, Ronda Rousey (who starred in the Wahlberg-produced "Entourage" movie), and "The Raid" star Iko Uwais will team up for "Mile 22," with Berg behind the camera. Penned by Graham Roland ("Fringe," "Lost"), the story sounds pretty rote, following a CIA agent stationed in Indonesia who has to take his informant 22 miles from the city to the airport, with, of course, many obstacles coming up in their way. Wasn"t this movie already released a decade ago and called "16 Blocks"?

No word yet on when it will shoot, but I"d guess after "Deepwater Horizon" wraps this will take priority next.

NBA free agency: Greg Monroe chooses Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks have landed their big man.

Agent David Falk says centre Greg Monroe has chosen the Milwaukee Bucks overbig-market suitors like the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

Yahoo Sports first reported the deal, which is for three years and $50 million US. Monroe has a player option on the final year of the deal that will allow the 25-year-old to become a free agent again in two years if he chooses.

Monroe averaged 15.9 points and 10.2 rebounds for the Detroit Pistons last year and was one of the most coveted big men on the market.

Falk says Monroe chose the Bucks because they have the best shot of making the playoffs of the teams that expressed interest.

Monta Ellis has found a new home in Indiana.

A person with direct knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Ellis has agreed to terms with the Pacers on a four-year deal worth $44 million. The deal includes a player option for the final year. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced. The contract cannot be signed until July 9.

Ellis averaged 18.9 points and 4.1 assists in his second season with the Dallas Mavericks last year. Ellis only shot 28.5 percent on 3-pointers last year, but his ability to score will help the Pacers, who ranked 24th in scoring last season.

What Does the Tiago Splitter Trade Mean for San Antonio Spurs & LaMarcus ...

Watch out, NBA. Its only the first day of free agency, and Gregg Popovich is already wheelin and dealin.

Early Wednesday, Pop and the San Antonio Spurs came to an agreement with sharpshooter Danny Green on an extremely reasonable four-year deal worth $40 million. Not long after, Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that San Antonio had shipped veteran center Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks:

In order to free up cap space for a run at free-agent LaMarcus Aldridge, the San Antonio Spurs have shipped Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks.

Splitter, who signed a four-year contract at $36 million in 2013, is set to make just under $17 million over the next two years. In other words, this was a salary dump for San Antonio.

In other other words, San Antonio now has the cap space to offer a max contract to LaMarcus Aldridge, one of the hottest commodities on the free-agent market. Not only did the Spurs re-sign Green and unload Splitters contract, but Aldridges meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers was reportedly underwhelming:

Now, there are still plenty of suitors for Aldridge. The Houston Rockets are in play, while the Dallas Mavericks are bringing in Cowboys to recruit the Dallas native.

Still, after Wednesdays early moves, its hard not to peg the Spurs as a legitimate frontrunner to sign Aldridge. And that should be a very scary thought for the rest of the Western Conference.

Aldridge, a four-time All-Star, averaged 23.8 points and 10.4 rebounds with the Portland Trail Blazers last season. One of the most talented offensive power forwards in the league, he has the mid-range game that would be practically unstoppable in San Antonios system, which thrives on moving the ball and finding open shots.

The Spurs have been legitimate title contenders for almost two decades now, and it doesnt appear they plan on letting that streak end anytime soon.
